Can these homes be built on a customer provided trailer to a larger size for long term living in the oil fields of North Dakota.

Hello Robert,

Tumbleweed can only build on our own trailers. For liability reasons and just because our trailers are already designed to fit our houses, we only build on our trailers.

Best of luck to you though.

Robert, our smallest trailers have 5200 lb axles - a larger span and lower axle weight would not be recommended. In fact - for the Mica - deckovers we use a 7000 lb axle. - so I could recommend no less than 7000 lb axles for your unit - plus it would be a triple axle unit - or more at least. We have no housing plans to match this. I would also consider, just out of logic, buying from someone closer to where these oil fields are - if there are issues or repairs - that could be quite a time delay. For us to design a house for this trailer - it would be a custom cost to you as well. Also - the only way to RVIA certify a unit is for us to build the entire unit, including the trailer. So I see many issues here, that Tumbleweed cannot address. Thank you for asking and considering us. If you have further questions, please let me know.
